For a more competitive job, Investment banking involves advising large firms, companies, or government institutions about complex financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, or initial public offerings.

For a less stressful role, asset management involves investing money on behalf of institutional investors or people. On the other hand, commercial banking is the perfect fit for a customer forefront as well as work life balance because it encompasses providing loans to businesses and individuals during standard working hours. Additionally, jobs in private equity and venture capital are perfect for people looking for direct involvement in business growth because this job consists of investing in companies and helping them grow to sell them for a higher profit.

Lastly, a slightly overlooked career path in finance is the public sector and policy area where financial experts help the government, nonprofits, or research institutions make decisions about where to allocate funds to best address societal issues and inequalities. Overall, a finance degree is highly versatile and can be applied in several different areas of interest.
